The well-known and deservedly well-loved Lily of the Valley.
Bearing clusters of pure white, waxy flowers in April and May with the sweetest and strongest of scent.
Best grown in dappled shade in a not-too-dry position where it will grow as useful ground cover, growing to a flowering height of 25cm. Ideal for cooler, shadier east or north facing parts of the garden where other plants may struggle to survive.
The flowers may be picked and used indoors as cut flowers.
