'Birch Glow' is a selected form of Erica vagans, the Cornish Heath, chosen for its spikes of rich rose pink flowers produced in abundance from July to September. Growing wild on the Cornish Lizard Peninsula in poor acidic conditions, Erica vagans will thrive in sun or light shade in most garden soils except those very dry or very limey.Forming a rounded shrublet up to 50cm high, it may be pruned back in Spring if required to maintain a neat habit and size. Loved by bees, this plant will refresh the garden with a splash of end of season colour.
