The new 'Marto' strain of Saxifrages have been bred for their early flowering and hardiness.
This pink form has clusters of rose-red flowers which usually appear from March onwards. The flowers are held on short stems above mounds of fresh green leaves. Flowering height 10cm.
Best grown in a sunny or lightly shaded, not-too-dry position at the edge of the border. Also good in rockeries or pots.
